2. What Framechart Does With Your Data

framechart is a native DaVinci Resolve plugin. All rendering, animation, and video export runs entirely on your machine, on your own GPU. Your CSV data, chart configuration, and rendered videos never leave your device — they are not sent to our servers.

We do not run any backend data processing service.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Data you provide

• Email address and payment details when purchasing a licence (processed by Lemon Squeezy — see Section 5)
• Communications you send us directly (e.g. support requests)

3.2 Data collected automatically

• Standard web server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) — retained by Cloudflare as part of hosting
• Technical data necessary to deliver the website (cached assets, CDN routing)

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Delivering the service and processing payments.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Security, fraud prevention, and operating our infrastructure.

Our service providers (Cloudflare, Lemon Squeezy) may process data in the United States and other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required.

7. Analytics & Cookies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use Framechart. It is cookie-free and collects no personal data — only aggregated, anonymised metrics such as page views and visit counts. No consent banner is required.

We store your licence key in browser local storage to keep you logged in. This is technically essential and does not require consent.

8. Data Retention

• Server access logs: retained per Cloudflare's standard policy (typically up to 30 days)
• Purchase records: retained as required by Swiss and EU tax law (10 years)
• Support communications: deleted when no longer necessary, at most 3 years

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and the Swiss nDSG, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. EDÖB in Switzerland or your local data protection authority)

10. Children's Privacy

Framechart is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the website or, where appropriate, by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
